Assessment
The assessment is one of the most important steps in rehabilitation. As it sets the stage for what is to come. That is why we spend up to an hour listening to you and doing tests to make sure we are on the right track from the get-go.

Report of Findings
This is the second appointment where we go through your personalised report, this gives us time to explain to you what we found, a plan forward to decide together, and a chance for you to ask any questions.

Start Recovery!
This is where you start your road to recovery, whichever amount of sessions you decide. We start giving you exercises to get you started on your journey, to a healthier stronger spine. Coaching you through the process to start living life again.

"I now get some pain free days"
"My back pain which has been bad for many many years is definitely improving already. I now get some pain free days and I've not been seeing Glen that long. He's a very warm and non judgmental person and easy to talk to and respecful of your body and personal space. I feel he understands better than many other therapists what I am going through having been in a similar place himself. Would certainly recommend him."
- P Gandhi

"Glen knew exactly how to help me"

The first appointment: Initial Consultation, is where I ask questions about your condition or concerns. Then we move onto a physical examination where we will look at your movement and will involve physical testing. for the last part of the session we do some treatment to keep you going, which may include: massage, mobilisations, massage gun, exercises.
The Second Session: The Report of Findings, Is where we go through what we think is going on, what we can do to help, and a plan we make together for you. This session also includes treatment and exercise recommendations to keep you going.
The cost varies from person to person, as no person is the same. Some people need only 4 sessions, some may need 20, so the cost will vary. The important thing we do is we work with you. We will give a suggestion with what plan will work best, however we will work with what works best for you (whether due to time constraints or finances).
Generally the answer will be no. You will need to check with your insurance company if they accept 'The Society of Sports Therapists'. If they do, you will need to pay first, then claim back via Receipts/Invoice.
This is a LARGE generalisation, however generally a Physio will focus on exercises, an Osteopath will focus on Manual Therapy, a Chiropractor will Manipulate joints. A Sports Therapist will use all these techniques to tailor the treatment for the client. Which is particularly useful as sometimes the pain will require more hands on work, then once pain tolerable, it gives an window of opportunity to work on the exercises. Now there will be other Clinicians (Osteo/Chiro/Physio) which will do this also if they have had further training (and they are AWESOME!), so it is important to question whichever Clinician you see, how they approach rehabilitation. We find an Integrative approach, is the best approach. Also Glen has been a Personal Trainer (so understands trying to tailor exercises into your life) and is trained in Matt Based Pilates which is great for Lower Backs!
